Dr. Huma Baqai will chair the strategic plenary session, “The Transforming Global Order: Power, Governance and Strategic Autonomy,” organized by the Institute for Strategic Studies, Research and Analysis (ISSRA) on 14 September 2026. The session will examine the changing global power dynamics, evolving patterns of international governance, and the growing importance of strategic autonomy amid intensifying US–China competition. It will also explore the responses of major powers, Europe, Pakistan, and the wider Global South to emerging geopolitical and economic challenges.
