Prof. Dr. Huma Baqai is the Rector of Millennium Institute of Technology and Entrepreneurship, Karachi. She has previously served as an Associate Professor of Social Sciences & Liberal Arts, and was also former Associate Dean, Faculty of Business Administration, at IBA Karachi. She has been working with both national and international media as an international relations expert and political analyst since 1999.
She is a scholar, reviewer, author, and co-editor of two books titled Pakistan-Afghanistan Relations: Pitfalls and Way Forward in 2021 and Making Sense of Post COVID-19 Politics in 2020. She has authored twenty-nine national and international research articles published in renowned journals. She is also a content developer and a certified Corporate Trainer.
She has been associated with the electronic media for twenty plus years and has discussed domestic, global, and social issues in over one thousand programs. She has participated in over two hundred national and international Webinars and Conferences. She also has a print media presence. As a columnist she has contributed 100+ articles to renowned magazines and newspapers that include:
- Magazines: Hilal ISPR Magazine, Narratives, The Vision, Pakistan Politico, Newsline Magazine, Rehbar Magazine, Geo News, and South Asia Magazine.
- Newspapers: Pakistan Observer, The Express Tribune, Business Recorder, and Global Village Space.
In addition, Dr. Baqai is the Vice Chairperson of Karachi Council for Foreign Relations (KCFR) and serves on several advisory & governance boards.
She is working with both national and international media an as International Relations expert and political analyst since 1999 and has served both as a Media Analyst and an Anchorperson in PTV for ten plus years, followed by Chanel 24 and News One. She is also associated with Radio Pakistan and Voice of America as an analyst. Currently, Dr Baqai is a member of Board of Directors of more than ten Educational Institutions and Private and Non-Profit organizations. She is also a certified Corporate Trainer from the International Academy for Leadership, Gummersbach, Germany. She is a part of Track-II diplomacy between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
