Prof. Dr. Huma Baqai is a distinguished academic, researcher, author, media analyst, and education leader whose professional journey spans more than three decades. Currently serving as the Rector of the Millennium Institute of Technology & Entrepreneurship (MiTE), Karachi, she has made remarkable contributions to higher education, research, public discourse, and professional development in Pakistan.
With over 30 years of experience in academia, Dr. Baqai previously served as Associate Professor of Social Sciences and Liberal Arts at IBA Karachi, where she played a vital role in shaping the intellectual growth of students and contributing to academic excellence. Her extensive experience in teaching and research has established her as a respected voice in the fields of social sciences, international relations, governance, and public policy.
An accomplished author, Dr. Baqai has written several notable books, including Making Sense of Post COVID-19 Politics (2020), Pakistan-Afghanistan Relations: Pitfalls and Way Forward (2021), and Collected Works of Foreign Affairs and Security Policy (2023). She has also authored more than 40 national and international research articles and book chapters, contributing significantly to scholarly literature and policy discussions.

As an SECP-certified corporate director, experienced corporate trainer, and content developer with over 18 years of training experience, she has worked extensively in capacity building, leadership development, and professional education.
